Luisa Fernanda Alfonso

Luisa Fernanda Alfonso is a dancer and choreographer from Bogotá, based in Berlin. Her recent works include "Masterpiece" (in collaboration with Peter Rubel), "A humble concert by a decent woman", and "Quinceañeras" (in collaboration with Estefanía Álvarez Ramírez). Her work caresses notions of tradition, identity and privilege through absurdity and humour. Drawing often from her background in ballet and modern dance, Luisa welcomes imitation, mimicry and attempts as meaningful gestures. Her affinity for sound composition, loudspeakers and voice recordings is deeply interwoven with her choreographic practice. As a performer, she has worked with Armin Hokmi, Leila Hekmat, Emilie Gregersen, Xenia Koghilaki, Sanna Helena Berger, Luísa Saraiva, juan felipe amaya gonzalez, Deva Schubert, Roman Pfeifer, caner teker, among others.
