Michiko Lii

Michiko Lii (they/them) is a performance artist in spoken word and contemporary movement. Their name means "child of the way," a reflection of the self-made path they walk. One shaped by obstacles, growth, and poetic expression. Through lyrical storytelling and theatrical poetry, Michiko captures the unspoken yet deeply recognizable aspects of life.

As a spoken word artist, host, and moderator, they create spaces where words transcend the page, transforming into immersive experiences. Their artistry is both a personal and collective journey, connecting with audiences on an emotional level.

In addition to their artistic work, Michiko remains active in the art field as an artistic worker and production assistant at Zinnema. There, they support artists and is dedicated to inclusivity and talent development.

Beyond performance, Michiko is a Queer activist and spokesperson, using their platform to amplify underrepresented voices and foster conversations on identity, inclusivity, and community.
