Axelle Manguila-Husikama is an interior designer graduated from ENSAV La Cambre and winner of the MAD Graduation Prize 2023.
Her work explores the links between space, body and culture with architecture as the heart of her practice.

At the same time, hairdressing, a passion that has been transmitted to her, dialogues with her architectural work and nourishes her creativity, the two disciplines coming together in their ability to structure, compose and tell stories.

That is why she define herself as Hairchitecte and Hairchivist, exploring hair as living architectures and cultural archives.

Through these two mediums, she seek to create, tell and celebrate stories and know-how, between tradition and innovation, letting each discipline enrich the other.

Born in French Guiana and based in Brussels, BEA (Belle En Afro) blends her Caribbean roots-kompa, soca, kaséko, reggae-with global club sounds like dancehall, amapiano, drum & bass, baile funk, and zouk.
A resident at FATSABBATS and Radio Vacarme, she has played at iconic venues such as Ancienne Belgique, Beursschouwburg, and Tope Brussels, as well as festivals like KFDA, Les Ardentes, Maanrock (PHLOWX) and Esperanzah.
Her journey has also taken her across the Atlantic to South America, where she had the chance to perform in both Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
